Landscape Design Testimonials

The Yard Fairy is grateful to be able to work with so many wonderful people. Many thanks for the landscape design testimonials you have emailed to us.

A Colleague's Testimonial from Yelp.com:

"Wow...simply brilliant! This was my first and lasting impression when I worked for a mutual client I have with The Yard Fairy. Who was to know that succulents could be so colorful and beautiful. This landscaping wonderland was was well thought out. The Escondido client could not stop raving about the low maintenance and water usage. The Yard Fairy does bi-yearly check ups to make sure everything is running smoothly. What a way to contribute!"

Letter from a Landscaping Client:

bench and pots"I was out in my gorgeous front yard this morning, doing a little weeding and checking on the plants and I was happy to see that the plums are starting to bloom. Although the sages still look dead, there a little tiny green leaves on each of them, so they are waking up too. It appears everything that was planted is surviving. I don't think I've lost any plants. Thought I'd share a few pics with you. I still need to buy something to put in the low bowl-shaped pots. I'm thinking some yellow lantana would look nice.

I'll let you know when the trees are starting to leaf. You might like to take some pictures at that point. I am so pleased with the design and the work that you and your team did. I continue to get many compliments on how nice the new yard looks."

"Just a few minutes after you and your team left the yard, we had another large group of visitors. We thought you'd enjoy seeing the picture of them. It's only recently that the locals have discovered the birdbaths. They also love climbing around in the rosemary plants."

"Hi Diane,

A big thank you ever so much for coming out for the two-hour session on what to do in place of our dead lawn.

We loved all your ideas. You energized us so much that we had a quick bite to eat and off we went to check on water features. Tomorrow, will find us at KRC. In fact, I just came off KRC's website to check out the dry creek bed kits and the D.G. colors. Mercy me, what a website. Can't wait to get over to the business in person.

Ron and I both agreed that you really lit a fire under us with your wonderful ideas, sharing of resources and easy-going manner. Bottom line: it was delightful to have that two-hour interaction w/ you. In such a short time, you truly captured the essence of who we are as workers and what we can do for ourselves. We lacked the vision, but you certainly provided more than enough to make-over the area into something wonderful.

I'll keep you posted, if you don't mind, on our progress here.

Thanks again,

Maureen (and Ron)"

"We hired Diane to re-landscape our 20 year old conventional Carlsbad yard during late 2008. She met with us to understand our needs and interests, produced a stunning design for our inputs, and executed perfectly on the installation! She also offers great customer service after the job, has kept in touch, and answered all our questions! Highly recommended!"

- James Tomcik

"Diane created plans for my entire yard that were beyond anything I could have come up with. She completely redid my irrigation system, gate, and front yard. All my neighbors loved her work and have tried to copy portions of the yard.

I highly recommend Diane's work and have recommended her to both family and friends."

- Laureen Knudsen

"...Out of a list of landscape architects, your business name The Yard Fairy caught my eye. I needed a fairy to spark my imagination again and create a miracle in my yard. In my front yard I want low maintenance, beauty/color/flowers, and draught tolerance.

You gave me the opportunity to hire you for a consultation rather than full build-out with your crew. This allowed me to enjoy the gardening process myself and support your business. You recommended an easy systematic approach to weed control. You discussed a portfolio of plants that thrive in our climate and provided me with a useful color book about this. We discussed irrigation techniques. I am now fertilizing my plants. My yard is clear and my plants are healthy.

It was delightful and inspiring to meet with you! I will be calling you for my back yard for edibles."

- Sunita

"It's like our very own park!"

- Carolyn and Melissa Bilger

"The report looks great! We appreciate all your input and look forward to starting on our yard."

- Consultancy Report Client

"I definitely like the job you and your staff did. It looks great and it's going to be ever more beautiful as the plants get established. I also appreciate your professional [Garden] Journal. Thanks again."

- Design, Bid and Install Client

"Christine [Benedict] showed positive, very organized presentation. Also the plan and accompanying plant overview booklet is very professional. Will get going on the front and call you for the back-yard plan."

- Landscape Design Client

"Thank you for the wonderful layout for my garden. Thank you again, Yard Fairy, for the beautiful job."

- Design and Bid Client
