Winter
Planting Ideas from the Yard Fairy: Non-Traditional Choices to
Spruce Up Your Holidays!
It's
that time of year when the seasons change, the weather gets colder,
and that holiday feeling begins to kick in. Winter is the perfect
opportunity to bring out plants with deep and rich colors to celebrate
the season and holidays. Being in Southern California, we are
more lucky than most to be able to use a variety of plants due
to our warmer climate. Plants are a great, easy way to lend festive
flair to both the inside and outside of your home.
End-of-year holiday celebrations traditionally feature bright,
bold colors - holly berries, evergreens, and pointsettias come
to mind. Here at The Yard Fairy, we like to put a contemporary
spin on the holidays using splashes of color in the form of unique
and creative plant choices to brighten up your winter season and
surroundings.

have been given. Today, we call it "reducing your carbon
footprint" and it's all about living with the intention to
reduce, reuse and recycle in an effort to preserve our natural
resources - so that we may sustain life here for future generations.
