AUGUST NEWSLETTER 2009

Dear Name,

Happy August from your friends at The Yard Fairy! We have some exciting news in store.

Currently, I'm working with our marketing team, creating a series of helpful reports to guide you through specific aspects of the gardening and landscaping process.

Expect detailed information on a variety of topics, from mulch and soil preparation, to organic pest control, to planting favorites like roses and more. I will let you know how you can obtain your own copy of our reports as soon as we finish tweaking!

We are also very happy to report that The Yard Fairy is now fully certified as a CLCA Water Manager. To learn more, read the brief summary I've included below, or visit http://www.clca.us/water/memOnly/mem.html for more information.

This month's feature article covers "Top Choices for Drought-Tolerant Plants from The Yard Fairy." This is must-have knowledge that every San Diego resident should have before creating their own low-water landscaped, backyard paradise.

As always, if you'd like to schedule a consultation or have questions, please contact info@yardfairy.com.

Warmly,

Diane Downey, Owner

LANDSCAPING TIP OF THE MONTH

Top Choices for Drought-Tolerant Plants from The Yard Fairy

Blue fescu survives the mild winters of Southern California but does not do well with too much rain. More sun means a brighter blue hue for this drought-tolerant plant.

Propagate blue fescue by division every 2 or 3 years; an 8 inch clump can give you 10 or more plants. Requires full sun and well-drained soil.
